Hi, I'm Lizzie May
I'm a HR manager, career coach and public speaker. I've spent thirteen years in HR across the public sector, startups and scaleups, and I now work at a global technology and AI company, shaping people strategy, supporting growth and using AI every day to navigate a fast changing world of work.
None of it was planned, I was fired from my first proper job and I worked my way up from there. Now I coach and mentor people, and I speak on panels, at conferences and to university societies about careers, workplace rights and getting confident with AI.
What I share here is what I'd tell a friend off the record, what actually moves your salary, what your employer is required to do and quietly hopes you won't ask about, and how to make AI work for you instead of leaving you behind.
I still have a full time job, that's the point everything here is built for people doing this around one.
